WE ARE IN AN EXAM
KEY TEXT: KEY TEXT: 1 Corinthians 9:24 KJV “Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.”
Apostle Paul said we''re running in a race. This can also be compared to taking an exam. And this exam can also be called the heavenly exam. In the world, people take exams to pass to go into different areas of their lives. And in their exam, they only need a certain amount of percentage to qualify and move on. But not so with us. In our heavenly exam, we need complete 100% of holiness and righteousness to enter and to make it to heaven. Luke 9:23
We must devote ourselves 100% fully for Jesus Christ. We must forsake all and follow Jesus Christ 100% and do His will. The Bible says that we have to deny ourselves, take up the cross every day and follow Him. We must take into account that this exam is for every Christian around the world. The Bible says, "I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:" (2 Timothy 4:7).
As believers, we should also finish our course, fight a good fight, and keep the faith in the end so that we may enter heaven on the last day. In this heavenly exam, we will be examined among other things: the way we talk to others, even our spouses, if we have followed peace with all men, and done all the necessary restitution we need to do. The heavenly mark of 100% also includes you to reconcile with any of your brethren that you are not reconciled with. Matthew 5:23-24
PRAYER: Lord Jesus Christ, forgive me for not giving 100% of my life to you. Empower me to fight the good fight of faith and finish this race faithfully, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.
REFLECTION: Hebrews 12:14 KJV: “Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord.”
