TITLE: WATCH AND PRAY (PART 3)

KEY TEXT: Luke 21:36 KJV: “Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.”

We must wake up to pray. The Bible tells us to watch and pray always that we might be worthy to follow Him (Jesus Christ) on that day. The Bible did not say watch and pray most of the time. If you are praying most of the time, you have failed. If you are praying sometimes, you have failed. The Word of God says, Always. Always means all the time. Are you sleeping? Pray. Are you eating? Pray. Pray always. Ephesians 6:18

We pray that we might be able to escape the terrible things that are about to happen and to stand before the Son of Man. It means, on that day when we shall stand before the Lord, He will ask us, “Did you pray always?” The Lord is saying, if we must be able to come to Him and enter at the Holy Kingdom, we must pray always. Let your song be prayer. Let your food be prayer. Whatever you are doing, let it be prayer. Let the thought of your heart be prayer. Ephesians 1:16

Turn your heart into a prayer ground. That time we are using our hearts to be thinking evil, turn it into prayer. Until we are able to purge ourselves from all those excesses, we cannot go anywhere. For us not to dilute ourselves into temptation, we must wake up and learn to pray all the time. Mark 14:38 

PRAYER: Lord Jesus Christ, forgive me for failing in the place of prayer and grant me grace to pray always, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.

REFLECTION: 1 Thessalonians 5:17 KJV: “Pray without ceasing.”
