UNWAVERING CONFIDENCE IN GOD

KEY TEXT: 2 CORINTHIANS 3:5 KJV: “Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God.”

Confidence in God begins with understanding His nature as our Creator and Sustainer. He is the source of all life and the One who upholds the universe by His mighty power. When we recognize His sovereignty, we find a firm foundation for our trust. “For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him” (Colossians 1:16).

Trusting God requires faith in His promises. The Bible is filled with assurances that He will never leave nor forsake His people. These promises are a source of great comfort and courage, even in times of uncertainty.

“Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee” (Hebrews 13:5).

Our confidence in God is strengthened when we remember His faithfulness in the past. Reflecting on His works helps us trust Him for our present and future needs. “The works of the Lord are great, sought out of all them that have pleasure therein” (Psalm 111:2).

PRAYER

Lord Jesus Christ, grant me the grace to trust you at all times and in every situation, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.
