TOO PRECIOUS TO BE ABANDONED (PART 3)
KEY TEXT: Titus 2:11–12 (KJV): “For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;”

GRACE DOES NOT PROMOTE CARELESS LIVING: One common misunderstanding about God’s restoring grace is the assumption that grace excuses careless living. While grace forgives and restores, it also instructs and corrects. True grace never leaves a believer unchanged; it teaches us to deny ungodliness and to embrace a life that reflects Christ. Restoration is not an invitation to return to sin, but a call to walk more carefully with God. Being too precious to be abandoned also means being too loved to be left unchanged. (Romans 6:1–2; Jude 1:4)
RESTORED BELIEVERS ARE CALLED TO HOLY LIVING: When God restores a believer, He restores them to holiness, not compromise. Salvation and sanctification work together. A believer restored by grace must cooperate with the Holy Spirit to live a consecrated life. Holiness is not legalism; it is the natural fruit of a heart that has encountered mercy. God’s desire is not just to forgive us, but to transform us into the image of Christ. (1 Peter 1:15–16; 2 Corinthians 7:1)
GRACE EMPOWERS OBEDIENCE AND STEADFASTNESS: Grace does not only forgive past failures; it empowers present obedience. Through grace, believers receive strength to resist temptation, overcome weakness, and remain steadfast in their walk with God. This grace sustains us daily and helps us grow in spiritual maturity. A restored believer who depends on grace will not return to bondage but will advance in righteousness and consistency. (2 Corinthians 12:9; Philippians 2:13)
PRAYER:
Father, I thank You for Your grace that not only saves but transforms. I receive grace to deny ungodliness and to walk in holiness. Let every area of weakness in my life be strengthened by Your Spirit. I declare that my restoration will produce obedience, consistency, and spiritual growth. I will not abuse grace; I will live to please You, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.
REFLECTION:
Proverbs 4:18 (KJV): “But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.”
