TITLE: THE BLESSEDNESS OF ENDURANCE (PART 3)

KEY TEXT: 1 Peter 2:19 KJV: “For this is thankworthy, if a man for conscience toward God endure grief, suffering wrongfully.”

The apostle Paul’s endurance in the face of numerous sufferings is well-documented and it''s worthy of learning from. In 2 Corinthians 11:24-27, he recounts his many hardships, including beatings, shipwrecks, and dangers. Yet, he remained steadfast in his mission, demonstrating that reliance on God enables us to endure beyond our natural capacities. ROMANS 8:35-39

Moreover, Galatians 6:9 reminds us of the importance of persistence in doing good: "And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not." This assurance helps us understand that our efforts are not in vain and encourages us to continue doing what is right, even when it is challenging. ROMANS 8:25

Endurance also brings maturity in our spiritual walk with God. James 1:3-4 says, "Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing." The testing of our faith produces patience, which leads to spiritual completeness. PSALM 37:7-9

PRAYER: Lord, please help me to defend my faith in you and never to deny you in time of persecution, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.

REFLECTION: GALATIANS 6:9 KJV: “And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”
