Despite all our striving, death comes to all men, whether rich or poor, wise or foolish. No one can escape it, and in the end, all human glory fades away. As it is written, "For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away" 1 PETER 1:24

The pleasures of this world are fleeting, and what once brought excitement quickly grows dull. Those who live solely for pleasure will find themselves empty, for, "She that liveth in pleasure is dead while she liveth." 1 TIMOTHY 5:6

People often place their trust in wealth, believing it will provide security and peace. Yet, riches are unstable and can vanish overnight. "Wilt thou set thine eyes upon that which is not? for riches certainly make themselves wings; they fly away as an eagle toward heaven." PROVERBS 23:5

PRAYER: O Lord my God, help me to number my days that I might know how to live a life worthy of eternity in heaven with you in this world of vanity, in Jesus Christ''s mighty name. Amen. 

REFLECTION: ECCLESIASTES 2:11 KJV: "Then I looked on all the works that my hands had wrought, and on the labour that I had laboured to do: and, behold, all was vanity and vexation of spirit, and there was no profit under the sun."
