THE MOTIONS OF SIN (PART 4)
KEY TEXT: Luke 16:10 KJV: “He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much.”

THE MOTION OF SIN THROUGH COMPROMISE: One of the most dangerous stages in the motions of sin is compromise. Compromise begins when a believer starts excusing small sins, ignoring spiritual convictions, and gradually lowering the standard of holiness. It may appear small at first, but it is often the beginning of spiritual decline. (Song of Solomon 2:15)
Many believers do not fall suddenly; they fall gradually through tolerated compromise. Secret sins, inconsistent prayer life, careless associations, and disobedience to God’s Word slowly weaken spiritual strength. What is tolerated repeatedly eventually becomes a pattern, and what becomes a pattern eventually becomes bondage. (James 4:17)
God calls believers to faithfulness in small things because spiritual strength is built in daily obedience. When a believer refuses compromise, he preserves his spiritual authority and maintains intimacy with God. But when compromise is embraced, spiritual sensitivity is lost, and the believer becomes vulnerable to deeper sin. (Proverbs 4:23)
PRAYER:
Lord Jesus, deliver me from every form of compromise. Help me to remain faithful in the small things and walk in holiness and obedience to Your Word in Jesus Christ’s mighty name, Amen.
REFLECTION:
Revelation 3:11 KJV: “Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.”
PRAYER POINTS:
1. Father, deliver me from every hidden compromise that is weakening my spiritual life in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.
2. Lord Jesus, give me grace to remain faithful in small things and not to fall into secret sins in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.
3. Father, strengthen my spiritual life so that I will not drift away from Your presence through compromise in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.
