THE JUDGEMENT OF GOD (PART 3)

KEY TEXT: PSALMS 9:8 - “And he shall judge the world in righteousness, he shall minister judgment to the people in uprightness.”

THE GREAT WHITE THRONE JUDGMENT:

The Bible speaks of a day when all humanity will stand before God at the Great White Throne. This judgment will determine the eternal destiny of every soul. John records,

“And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.

And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works”

(REVELATION 20:11-12).

THE JUDGMENT SEAT OF CHRIST:

Believers in Christ will also face judgment, not for condemnation, but to receive rewards for their works. The apostle Paul explains, "For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad" (2 CORINTHIANS 5:10). This judgment emphasizes accountability, even for the redeemed.

GOD’S JUDGMENT AS A REVELATION OF HIS GLORY:

God’s judgments ultimately reveal His glory, majesty, and justice. Even in judgment, God’s perfect character shines forth. As the psalmist declares, "The LORD is known by the judgment which he executeth: the wicked is snared in the work of his own hands" (Psalm 9:16 KJV). His judgments leave no doubt about His sovereignty and holiness.

PRAYER:

Lord Jesus Christ, grant me the grace to work in holiness and to live a righteous life to the end my works will be accepted at last and the crown of life will be given to me, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.

ROMANS 14:12 KJV: “So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.”
