THE NATURE OF GOD’S JUDGMENT:

The judgment of God is a reflection of His holy nature, righteousness, and justice. God is not partial in His judgments, nor does He err, for His decisions are rooted in truth and perfect discernment. He sees beyond outward appearances and evaluates the intents and thoughts of the heart. As it is written, "Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?" (Genesis 18:25). His judgments are never arbitrary but are always in alignment with His divine will and purposes. PSALMS 9:8

JUDGEMENT AS A CONSEQUENCE OF SIN:

God’s judgment arises as a response to sin, which is a violation of His holy law. Sin brings corruption and destruction, and God, in His holiness, must address it. The Scripture declares, "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 6:23). His judgment serves both as a warning and a consequence of mankind's rebellion against Him. 2 CORINTHIANS 5:10

GOD'S PATIENCE BEFORE JUDGMENT:

Although God is just in His judgments, He is also patient, giving ample opportunity for repentance. His patient nature reveals His desire for humanity to turn from wickedness and live. The Lord reminds us, "The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance" (2 PETER 3:9).

PRAYER:

Father Lord God, help me to walk in your mercy in complete obedience to your word to avoid being corrected in judgement, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.

REFLECTION:

1 PETER 4:17 KJV: “For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?"
