THE EFFICACY OF THE BODY AND BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST (PART 3)

KEY TEXT: John 6:56 KJV: “He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him.”

UNION WITH CHRIST: Partaking of the body and blood of Jesus Christ establishes a divine union with Him. The believer is no longer separated from Christ but becomes one with Him. Jesus said, “Abide in me, and I in you” (John 15:4 KJV). Communion is not a religious ritual but a spiritual mystery that unites us with the Lord, making us members of His flesh and of His bones (Ephesians 5:30).

THE BLOOD SPEAKS BETTER THINGS: The blood of Jesus Christ is not silent; it speaks on behalf of believers. Hebrews 12:24 declares that the blood of Jesus “speaketh better things than that of Abel.” While Abel’s blood cried for vengeance, the blood of Christ cries for mercy, justification, and preservation. Every accusation of the enemy is silenced by the voice of the blood.

THE BODY NOURISHES SPIRITUALLY: Just as physical bread sustains the natural body, the body of Christ sustains the spiritual man. Jesus declared, “As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me” (John 6:57 KJV). Feeding on His Word and His body strengthens the believer to walk in holiness and victory.

PRAYER:

Lord Jesus, thank You for uniting us with You through your body and blood, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.

REFLECTION:

1 Corinthians 6:17 KJV: “But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.”

PRAYER POINTS:

1. Lord, let my union with You remain unbroken forever in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen (John 15:4).

2. By the blood of Jesus, let every evil voice speaking against me be silenced, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen (Hebrews 12:24).

3. Lord Jesus, feed me continually with Your life-giving body, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen (John 6:57).
