THE EFFICACY OF THE BODY AND BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST (PART 2)

KEY TEXT: Hebrews 9:22 KJV: “And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.”

THE BLOOD BRINGS FORGIVENESS: The blood of Jesus Christ is the only channel through which humanity can obtain forgiveness of sins. The sacrifices in the Old Testament only covered sins temporarily, but the blood of Christ cleanses us permanently. The Scripture affirms: “Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us” (Hebrews 9:12 KJV).

Without the shedding of His blood, no man can be forgiven or reconciled to God.

THE BODY RELEASES HEALING: The body of Jesus Christ was broken for our healing. “But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed” (Isaiah 53:5 KJV). As believers partake of His broken body, we receive divine health and restoration in every area of our lives. His body bore the pain that we might be free from affliction.

THE BLOOD GIVES ACCESS TO GOD: Through the blood of Jesus Christ, every believer has direct access to God’s throne of grace. “Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus” (Hebrews 10:19 KJV). The veil has been torn, and there is no more barrier between God and man. What was impossible under the law is now possible through the new covenant in the blood of Jesus Christ.

PRAYER:

Lord Jesus, thank you for breaking down the middle wall of partition that separated us and God, granting us access to the throne of grace, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.

REFLECTION:

Ephesians 1:7 KJV: “In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace.”

PRAYER POINTS:

1. Thank You, Lord, for the forgiveness of my sins through the blood of Jesus, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen (Hebrews 9:22).

2. By the stripes of Jesus, I receive healing in every part of my body in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen (Isaiah 53:5).

3. Father, I boldly access Your throne of grace by the blood of Jesus, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen (Hebrews 10:19).
