THE DANGER OF STUBBORNNESS (PART 1)
KEY TEXT: Proverbs 29:1 KJV: "He, that being often reproved hardeneth his neck, shall suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy.”

Stubbornness is a refusal to change one's mind or course of action despite reason, advice, or circumstances. It can lead to spiritual stagnation, broken relationships, and missed opportunities. “A stiff-necked people, ye do always resist the Holy Ghost.” (ACTS 7:51)
Stubbornness can manifest in various ways, such as resisting God's guidance, refusing to listen to advice, or insisting on one's own way. This attitude can lead to spiritual blindness, causing individuals to miss God's best for their lives. "There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death." (PROVERBS 14:12)
CONSEQUENCES:
Stubbornness can result in broken relationships, spiritual stagnation, and even divine discipline. When we refuse to yield to God's will, we open ourselves to the consequences of our actions. "Thine own wickedness shall correct thee, and thy backslidings shall reprove thee….” (JEREMIAH 2:19)
PRAYER:
Lord Jesus Christ, deliver me from the spirit of stubbornness and grant me the humility to yield to Your will, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
REFLECTION:
1 Samuel 15:22 KJV: "And Samuel said, Hath the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice..."
