THE CROWN OF RIGHTEOUSNESS (PART 3)

KEY TEXT: MATTHEW 24:13 KJV – “But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.”

THOSE WHO WALK IN HOLINESS: The Crown of Righteousness is not for everyone who names the name of Christ, but for those who live holy and righteous lives before God. Holiness is the seal of qualification, for without it no man shall see the Lord. “Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord” (Hebrews 12:14 KJV).

THOSE WHO ENDURE TO THE END: Many begin the Christian journey but only few finish faithfully. The crown is for those who remain steadfast through trials, temptations, and persecution, holding on to Christ without turning back. “Be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life” (Revelation 2:10 KJV).

THOSE WHO LOVE HIS APPEARING: The righteous crown is laid up for those who long for the coming of Jesus Christ. Their lives reflect daily preparation, eager expectation and purity, as they wait for His appearing. “And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure” (1 John 3:3 KJV).

PRAYER:

Lord Jesus, help me to walk in holiness, endure to the very end, and live in constant expectation of Your glorious appearing, that I may be found worthy of the crown of righteousness, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.

REFLECTION:

2 TIMOTHY 4:8 KJV – “Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.”
