THE CONTEMPORARY CHRISTIAN

KEY TEXT: Matthew 24:35 KJV: “Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.”

THE WRONG DOCTRINE: The cause of the fall and departure of many churches today is due to the acceptance of the damnable and deadly modern-age god. The church has mixed the fallacies and perdition of the current worldly system into the holy, ancient foundation of the word of God. God had a set plan for how the church and the doctrine of the Scripture should be, but through the guile of Satan, the ordinances of God have been diluted and explained away through the cunning craftiness of men. MATTHEW 24:35

THE WRONG GOSPEL: The contemporary Christianity of today has disregarded the word of God in these key areas:
1.⁠ ⁠Seriousness of Sin: Christians have taught that because the word of God was written a long time ago, the gravity of sin has faded, but this is a grave error.
2.⁠ ⁠Modesty & Sobriety: These values have also been explained away. The modern church has used the “trusting in your own personal convictions” to downplay the importance of modesty in the church as a universal commandment.
3.⁠ ⁠Money: Which God has long warned against, as the god of mammon has taken its seat on the throne of the church in the form of prosperity gospel. For this, God is warning us again today. Beware and be warned. 1 TIMOTHY 6:10

THE RIGHT WORD: In totality, no matter the preacher that comes to you, the church you fellowship with, or wherever you go to worship, it will all return to the old-time word of God. For this, man will be judged. God made both the old and the new, and He knows why He has called us to keep the old precepts and ways. If we adhere to Him, God’s word will justify us, not condemn us, if we hold fast to its teachings. Let no man explain away the gravity of the word of God to you. ACTS 20:29-30

PRAYER: Lord Jesus, unite the church together not in lies and perdition, but rather in holiness, truth and the fear of God. Grant the church the grace to retrace their steps back to the old time way of holiness that we need, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name, Amen.

REFLECTION: Hebrews 13:8 KJV: "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever."
