TITLE: THE BLESSEDNESS OF ENDURANCE (PART 5)

KEY TEXT: Galatians 6:9 KJV: “And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”

Endurance also fosters a deeper relationship with God. Romans 15:4 tells us, "For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope." The scriptures provide the encouragement and patience we need to endure as we journey through the painful and narrow way to Heaven. 2 TIMOTHY 3:12

The book of Revelation addresses endurance as well. Revelation 3:10 says, "Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth." This promise highlights God''s protection over those who endure faithfully. REVELATION 3:11

Paul the Apostle in the book of Colossians 1:11 prays for believers to be strengthened with all might, "according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness." This prayer emphasizes that endurance, combined with joy, is a divine strength imparted by God’s power. The Bible provides extensive guidance and encouragement on the importance of endurance. Whether through the examples of Jesus, Paul, Job, or direct teachings, it is clear that enduring through life''s trials is integral to the Christian faith and leads to spiritual growth and  ultimate reward. HEBREWS 12:1

PRAYER: O Lord, my God, give me the grace to endure in holiness and righteousness in persecution that I might be kept from the hour of temptation that shall come upon the whole earth, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.

REFLECTION:1 Corinthians 10:13 KJV: “There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.”
