STRIVE FOR THE STATE OF PURITY (PART 3)

KEY TEXT: JOHN 6:63 KJV: “It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.”

God''s Word is a source of purity for our lives. Reading and meditating on the scriptures renews our minds, aligning our hearts with God’s will, and giving us strength to resist impurity. "Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word” (PSALM 119:9).

We must avoid compromise and remain steadfast in purity. The world often tries to blur moral lines, but as Christians, we are called to uphold God''s unchanging standards, even if that sets us apart from society. "And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God" (ROMANS 12:2).

Purity is a reflection of God’s own character, and He calls us to mirror that in our lives. As His children, we should desire to emulate His holiness, rejecting sin and embracing righteousness. "Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy” (1 PETER 1:16).

PRAYER: Lord Jesus Christ, please empower me with the grace to study and meditate on your Word daily to keep myself in a state of uncompromised purity, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.

REFLECTION: HEBREWS 4:12 KJV: “For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”
