SPIRITUAL GROWTH FIRST

KEY TEXT: 2 Peter 3:18 KJV: “But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.”

You must be ready to grow according to your prayer. Before God will do anything for you, He will weigh and balance you to know that that thing He is about to do for you will not be against you or His kingdom tomorrow. What am I trying to say? We must be ready to grow in the spirit. As long as you refuse to grow, your blessing will refuse to come. 1 Peter 2:2

The Bible states, “Unto us a son is given.” A son was not born but given. God Almighty waited for Jesus Christ to grow to some level before He introduced Him as His beloved son. As long as Jesus Christ remained a child, He was never introduced. Likewise, as long as you remain a child in the spirit, greatness will not come. I do not know the prayer you are praying. You will continue to pray and remain there until you grow to the desired level. The Lord wants to manifest sons, not children. Isaiah 9:6

The Bible also says of John the Baptist: “And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit and was in the deserts till the day of his shewing unto Israel.” He had to grow before being introduced to Israel. For you to be great spiritually, you have to grow first to a certain level. There are some things you cannot resist when God takes you to that level. That is why sometimes some people back down easily. A little temptation, and they have gone back. Luke 1:80

PRAYER

Lord Jesus Christ, I want to grow. Help me grow in You in all things, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

REFLECTION

Ephesians 4:15 KJV: “But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ.”
