SHINING THE LIGHT OF HONOUR (PART 4)

KEY TEXT: Isaiah 1:19 KJV — “If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land.”

OBEDIENCE ACTIVATES DIVINE HONOUR: The light of honour shines brightest in the life of a believer who walks in obedience to God. Every act of obedience releases divine approval, while disobedience brings reproach and delay. God values obedience above sacrifice because it reflects true submission to His will. Abraham became the father of nations because he obeyed God’s voice even when the instruction seemed unreasonable (Genesis 22:16–18). The proof of love for God is obedience; when you obey His Word without questioning, His light of honour distinguishes you from others.

OBEDIENCE IS THE SECRET OF DIVINE MANIFESTATION: The Word of God carries power, but that power only manifests through obedience. Peter toiled all night without result, but one act of obedience to Jesus’ instruction brought a net-breaking harvest (Luke 5:5–6). Likewise, every believer who obeys divine instruction experiences supernatural lifting and fruitfulness. Honour comes when your actions align with divine order. Obedience opens the door to prosperity, divine direction, and favour before men. Refusal to obey, on the other hand, shuts the door to divine opportunity and glory.

OBEDIENCE KEEPS YOUR LIGHT SHINING CONTINUALLY: A believer who obeys God’s voice walks in continuous fellowship with Him. Disobedience breaks fellowship and dims the light of honour. When you live a life of total obedience, you will enjoy peace, divine covering, and promotion. Deuteronomy 28:1 KJV declares, “And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God… that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth.” Those who obey God’s voice never remain in obscurity; their obedience keeps their light shining brighter and brighter to His glory.

PRAYER:

Lord Jesus Christ, grant me the grace to obey Your Word and follow Your instructions without hesitation. Deliver me from every spirit of rebellion and pride, and let my obedience bring forth the light of divine honour in my life, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.

REFLECTION:

John 14:23 KJV — “Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.”

PRAYER POINTS

1. My Father, grant me the grace to walk in total obedience to Your Word and will, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.

2. O Lord, deliver me from every stubbornness and rebellion that hinders divine honour, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.

3. Lord Jesus, make me sensitive to Your voice and quick to obey every divine instruction, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.

4. My Father, let my obedience open doors of favour, promotion, and honour in every area of my life, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.
