SHINING THE LIGHT OF HONOUR (PART 10)
KEY TEXT: Matthew 5:16 KJV — “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.”

YOUR LIGHT IS A WITNESS FOR CHRIST: The purpose of divine honour is not self-glory but kingdom influence. Every believer’s light is meant to draw others to Christ, not to self. When people see the grace, integrity, and faithfulness of God at work in your life, they are inspired to seek the same God who lifted you. The honour of God upon a believer is a testimony of His faithfulness and mercy. Therefore, your shining must always point back to the cross, not to your personality. True light leads others to the Source — Jesus Christ, the Light of the world.
YOUR CONDUCT REVEALS GOD TO THE WORLD:
The life of a believer is a living message. The way you speak, love, forgive, serve, and endure trials preaches louder than your words. When you live righteously, you make it easier for others to believe in God. Philippians 2:14–15 KJV says, “Do all things without murmurings and disputings... that ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God... among whom ye shine as lights in the world.” People may never read a Bible, but they will read your life. Let your light of honour be so consistent that it becomes a tool for evangelism and a reflection of God’s excellence. 2 CORINTHIANS 3:2
YOUR LIGHT MUST GLORIFY GOD:
Every act of righteousness, every good work, and every display of love should bring glory to God. The light of honour is not for self-promotion but for kingdom elevation. God’s desire is that through your life, others will come to repentance and salvation. The more you glorify God through your conduct, the more He increases your light. Isaiah 60:1–3 KJV declares, “Arise, shine; for thy light is come... and the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising.” Shine brightly, not for fame, but to bring souls into the kingdom of God.
PRAYER:
Lord Jesus, thank You for making me a carrier of Your light. Let my life bring glory to You and lead others to salvation. Help me to shine continually as a living witness of Your love and righteousness, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.
REFLECTION:
1 Peter 2:12 KJV — “Having your conversation honest among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation.”
