SEEK GOD BEFORE THE STORMS COME
KEY TEXT: Isaiah 55:6 KJV: “Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near.”

STABILITY IN GOD:
When you are firmly rooted in God, you do not run to Him only in desperation during times of trouble. Instead, those who truly know their God navigate life’s storms with confidence, much like a skilled surfer who understands the currents and glides effortlessly. There is a great reward in staying close to God, even when everything seems calm and peaceful. Proverbs 1:28-29
SAUL VS DAVID:
Saul repeatedly disobeyed God and followed his own ways. When he finally sought God during his time of trouble, God did not answer him (1 Samuel 28:6-7). In contrast, David maintained a close and faithful relationship with God, allowing him to testify: “In my distress I called upon the Lord, and cried unto my God: he heard my voice out of his temple, and my cry came before him, even into his ears.” Psalm 18:6
SEEK GOD NOW:
Ask God to reveal anything in your life that may hinder Him from hearing you in the day of trouble. Many people live in sin and only turn to God when difficulties arise, not realizing that Christ does not know them or have a personal relationship with them. It is for our own good that we seek and walk with God now, rather than waiting for hardships to force us into prayer. Matthew 7:21-23
PRAYER:
Lord Jesus, I receive the grace to build a healthy and fruitful relationship with you now that there is still time to do so here on earth, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name, Amen.
REFLECTION:
Proverbs 15:29 KJV: “The Lord is far from the wicked: but he heareth the prayer of the righteous.”
