REVIVAL
KEY TEXT: Habakkuk 3:2 KJV — “O Lord, revive thy work in the midst of the years, in the midst of the years make known; in wrath remember mercy.”

REVIVAL IS GOD’S MERCY EXTENDED TO HIS PEOPLE:
Revival is not something we earn — it is God showing mercy when His people drift away. The prophet cried, “in wrath remember mercy,” because revival is God restoring His presence instead of allowing destruction. Whenever God revives a person or a church, He is extending mercy, calling them back before it is too late. (HABAKKUK 3:2)
REVIVAL BRINGS CLARITY AND SPIRITUAL DISCERNMENT: A dying spiritual life loses discernment, but revival opens the eyes again. The believer begins to see clearly, hear clearly, and sense spiritual danger accurately. This is why Paul prayed, “that the eyes of your understanding being enlightened” (Ephesians 1:18). Revival delivers from blindness and restores spiritual sensitivity.
(EPHESIANS 1:18)
REVIVAL EXPOSES AND DESTROYS THE WORKS OF DARKNESS: When revival comes, hidden works of the enemy are exposed. Darkness loses its power because light begins to shine. Scripture says, “Awake thou that sleepest… and Christ shall give thee light” (Ephesians 5:14). A revived believer becomes dangerous to the enemy because the light within them begins to shine brightly again.
(EPHESIANS 5:14)
One of the strongest evidences of revival is a deep longing to live holy and consecrated to God. The desire to please God grows; the appetite for worldliness dies. Scripture commands, “Be ye holy; for I am holy” (1 Peter 1:16). Revival strengthens the believer to break sinful habits, reject compromise, and walk in purity.
(1 PETER 1:16)
