REVIVAL
KEY TEXT: Hosea 6:1 KJV — “Come, and let us return unto the Lord: for he hath torn, and he will heal us; he hath smitten, and he will bind us up.”

REVIVAL BEGINS WITH BROKENNESS BEFORE GOD: Every true revival starts when a believer acknowledges their spiritual dryness and returns to God in humility. God does not revive the proud but the broken and contrite. When a believer stops pretending and admits, “Lord, I need You,” revival begins. God says, “I dwell… with him that is of a contrite and humble spirit” (Isaiah 57:15). A broken heart attracts divine visitation more than religious activity. Isaiah 57:15
REVIVAL DEMANDS SEPARATION FROM SIN AND WORLDLINESS: No one can be revived while holding on to the things that killed their spiritual fire. Sin suffocates spiritual life; worldliness drains passion for God. Revival calls believers to “lay aside every weight and the sin which doth so easily beset us” (Hebrews 12:1). Until sin is confessed, forsaken, and crucified, revival cannot blossom. Hebrews 12:1
REVIVAL MAKES THE WORD OF GOD COME ALIVE AGAIN: One evidence of genuine revival is a renewed hunger for Scripture. What was once boring becomes alive. The Word begins to speak, correct, instruct, and burn in the heart again. The Psalmist cried, “Quicken thou me according to thy word” (Psalm 119:25). When God revives a believer, their appetite for the Word becomes strong and consistent. Psalm 119:25
A revived believer cannot remain prayerless. Prayer becomes a delight, not a burden. The desire to commune with God increases. What once felt heavy becomes sweet. Scripture says, “They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength” (Isaiah 40:31). Revival restores prayer fire, prayer passion, and prayer consistency. Isaiah 40:31
PRAYER:
O Lord, revive my heart and restore my passion for Your presence. Let every dead area of my spiritual life come alive by Your power, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.
REFLECTION:
Psalm 85:6 KJV — “Wilt thou not revive us again: that thy people may rejoice in thee?”
PRAYER POINTS:
1. Father, revive my heart and let every form of spiritual dryness disappear, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.
2. Lord, give me grace to separate from every sin and worldly habit killing my spiritual fire, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.
3. O God, restore my hunger for Your Word. Let the Scriptures become alive and burning in my spirit again, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.
4. Father, rekindle the fire of prayer in me. Remove spiritual weakness and grant me grace to pray with fresh passion, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.
