REVIVAL

KEY TEXT: Revelation 2:4–5 KJV: “Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love. Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works.”

LIFE IN WALKING WITH GOD: Revival means coming back to life — a spiritual resuscitation and resurrection. It is a fresh outpouring of God’s life-giving Spirit upon His people. We must humble ourselves, presenting our uncleanness before God collectively. For some of us, God is calling us to return to Him with the first love we once had (Revelation 2:4-5). When Jesus spoke to the church that had fallen away, He said they had departed from their love for Christ and were blind to it—showing that someone can unknowingly drift away from God if they do not watch carefully. (Revelation 2:4-5)

LIFE IN WORKING FOR GOD: Do you know that God fights for those who put His work first? When you make the work of God your highest priority above all else, He remembers and rewards those who diligently please Him (Hebrews 6:10). When Jesus was on earth, He said, “My meat is to do the will of Him that sent Me, and to finish His work” (John 4:34). Let your “meat” also be to do the work of God—and if your zeal has faded, resurrect it back to life today. (John 4:34)

THE RESURRECTION CALL: You must resurrect every part of you that has fallen from Christ. Perhaps you once walked closely with Him, or maybe you are still walking but growing faint along the way. The Lord is saying, “Wake up!” (Ephesians 5:14). Are you doing God’s work half-heartedly? The Lord is calling you to rise and serve with all your strength and might. (Ecclesiastes 9:10)

PRAYER:

O Lord, reignite my passion to work for you and to walk with you before it is too late. Deliver me from anything that will kill my love for you in Jesus Christ's mighty name. Amen.

REFLECTION:

Psalm 85:6 KJV: “Wilt thou not revive us again: that thy people may rejoice in thee?”

PRAYER POINTS:

1. Father, revive my spiritual life and restore my first love for Christ. Let every area where I have fallen be revived by the fire of the Holy Ghost, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.

2. O Lord, deliver me from spiritual laziness and half-hearted service. Rekindle fresh zeal and passion in me to do Your work faithfully, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.

3. Father, let every spiritual weakness, dryness, and slumber be swallowed by Your resurrection power. Wake me up to walk and work for You wholeheartedly, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.

4. O Lord, purge my heart from anything killing my love, passion, or commitment to You. Strengthen me to serve You with all my might, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.
