No matter how close you think you are to Jesus, it is nothing until you encounter Him. The disciples thought they knew Christ while He was on earth. But when John saw Him in His real form, he ‘fell at his feet as dead.’ This is a man that ate with Jesus, but John never knew Him to His full extent until that day. You can''t see Christ and still be boasting. Your inner being and pride will die. Revelation 1:12-17

When a holy man encounters God, he will have sin to confess. Job chapter 1 says, Job was a perfect and holy man, a man that eschewed evil. But when he encountered God, in Job chapter 42, he knew how dirty he was and had sin to confess. He said, “Wherefore I abhor myself, and repent in dust and ashes.” Job 42:6

Don''t glory yet, neither let people lift you up, saying you are a holy man, until you encounter Him face to face. There were some people who thought they knew Jesus Christ and brought to Him a woman in adultery. As they kept on pressing him, he did as if he did not hear them. Just as he''s doing as if he''s not hearing you when you ask Him to condemn or destroy certain persons. You want Him to condemn a person who is even holier than you? Let us drop our stones today and think about ourselves that we may encounter him. John 8:7

PRAYER: Lord Jesus Christ, dissolve every stony heart in me, and give me a repentant heart, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

REFLECTION: Job 42:5 KJV: “I have heard of thee by the hearing of the ear: but now mine eye seeth thee.”
