The reason so many Christians and pastors are misbehaving today and have become the god of themselves is because they have not truly encountered Jesus Christ. It''s either they were carnally ordained by somebody, or someone told them who they are. If anyone ever encounters God himself, that person will know what to do. The reason you are still doing what you are doing in sin, even when you are hearing the word of God is because you have not had a genuine encounter with God. 1 JOHN 2:4

You have been told and have read about him. But have you encountered him? That is the problem. Isaiah was one of the greatest prophets that ever lived. He knew about Jesus even when Christ had not been born. He thought he was doing well. He never knew everything he was doing was in iniquity, until he encountered God. Isaiah states, “in the year that King Uzziah died, I saw also the Lord...” Can you tell someone the day you saw the Lord? Have you seen him? ISAIAH 6:1

Isaiah said, “woe is me.” If you encounter God, you will tell yourself, “Woe is me.” No matter what you think you are, you will see how dirty, useless and hopeless you are without him. Isaiah added, “I am a man of unclean lips.” This is a man that people were emulating. Can you see the reason why you don''t need a man as your mentor? Or why you must not follow the footsteps of a man? You need a personal encounter with God. MATTHEW 23:9

PRAYER: Lord Jesus Christ, encounter me and completely turn my life around, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
