PERSONAL ENCOUNTER WITH GOD (PART 7)

KEY TEXT: Philippians 3:10 KJV: “That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death.”

The ultimate goal of every personal encounter with God is to know Him more deeply and be conformed to His image. Apostle Paul, despite his many revelations and miracles, still longed for deeper knowledge of Christ. This shows us that encounters are not an end, but a pathway to intimacy with God.

Beloved, a true encounter with God will make you hunger for more of Him. It will produce humility, brokenness, and deeper fellowship. Paul’s encounters led him to surrender his entire life for the sake of the Gospel (2 Timothy 4:7). Encounters also prepare believers for eternity, fixing their focus on heaven and not on worldly distractions (Colossians 3:1–2). Without a personal encounter, Christianity becomes dry, but with it, your walk with God becomes vibrant and purposeful.

Child of God, make it your life’s pursuit to continually encounter the Lord until you see Him face to face in glory. Every encounter here on earth is a foretaste of that eternal fellowship with Christ in heaven.

REFLECTION:

Is your desire for an encounter about what God can give you, or about knowing Him more? The highest encounter is not about blessings, but about intimacy with God Himself.

DESPERATELY PRAY THESE PRAYER POINTS:

1. Lord, deepen my hunger to know You and to walk in Your power, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen (Philippians 3:10).

2. Father, let every encounter draw me closer to Christlikeness, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen (Colossians 3:1–2).

3. O God, help me to remain faithful in my walk until I see You face to face, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. (2 Timothy 4:7).

4. Lord, prepare me through personal encounters for eternal fellowship with You, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen (1 John 1:3).
