PERSONAL ENCOUNTER WITH GOD (PART 6)

KEY TEXT: Psalm 16:11 KJV: “Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.”

A personal encounter with God not only transforms but also sustains a believer. It is not meant to be a one-time event, but the beginning of a continuous walk with God. David’s many encounters with the Lord birthed unshakable confidence in him, even in the face of giants and enemies (1 Samuel 17:37). Living in constant encounter keeps your spirit refreshed and your faith unmovable.

Beloved, the joy of God’s presence is one of the greatest benefits of an ongoing encounter. This joy strengthens, encourages, and shields you from discouragement. Also, divine encounters bring revelation of God’s will, showing you the right path to follow (Proverbs 3:5- 6). A sustained encounter also guarantees spiritual preservation, keeping you from falling away into the traps of the enemy (John 10:28).

Child of God, do not be content with a past encounter. Hunger daily for fresh experiences with God. The God who revealed Himself yesterday wants to reveal Himself more deeply today. Keep your altar of prayer alive, your worship fervent, and your heart pure, and you will dwell in a life of divine encounter.

REFLECTION:

Are you living on yesterday’s encounter, or are you pressing into fresh experiences with God today? The closer you stay to Him, the more He reveals Himself to you.

PRAY THESE PRAYER POINTS EARNESTLY:

1. Lord, sustain my walk with You through constant encounters in Your presence, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen (Psalm 16:11).

2. O God, let Your joy strengthen me daily as I seek You, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen (Nehemiah 8:10).

3. Father, guide me into the right path through divine revelation, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen (Proverbs 3:5–6).

4. Lord, preserve me from falling as I abide in constant fellowship with You, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen (John 10:28).
