PERSONAL ENCOUNTER WITH GOD (PART 4)
KEY TEXT: Jeremiah 29:13 KJV: “And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.”

A personal encounter with God does not come casually; it requires preparation and positioning of the heart. God reveals Himself to those who diligently seek Him. If you desire to encounter God, you must be intentional in prayer, fasting, holiness, and studying His Word. A divided heart cannot find Him, but a surrendered heart will surely experience His presence.
Beloved, one way to position yourself for a divine encounter is through desperate prayer. Hannah prayed earnestly before the Lord and had an encounter that changed her story forever (1 Samuel 1:10–11). Another way is through obedience and holiness. Abraham encountered God repeatedly because he walked in obedience and righteousness (Genesis 17:1). Finally, through worship and intimacy, you can draw God’s presence. Paul and Silas, while praying and singing praises in prison, had a powerful encounter that broke their chains (Acts 16:25–26).
Child of God, if you want to encounter God, you must separate yourself from sin, distractions, and lukewarmness. God reveals Himself to those who hunger and thirst after righteousness (Matthew 5:6). Position yourself through consistent prayer, genuine worship, purity of heart, and hunger for His Word, and surely He will visit you in power.
REFLECTION:
Have you created an atmosphere for God to reveal Himself to you? He is willing to encounter you, but are you positioned? Seek Him with desperation, holiness, and worship, and you will surely experience His presence.
PRAY THESE PRAYER POINTS DELIBERATELY:
1. Lord, give me the grace to seek You wholeheartedly until I encounter You, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen (Jeremiah 29:13).
2. Father, help me to live in holiness and obedience that attracts Your presence, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen (Genesis 17:1).
3. O God, let my prayers and worship draw me into a life-changing encounter with You, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen (Acts 16:25–26).
4. Lord, remove every distraction and lukewarmness that hinders my divine encounter, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen (Matthew 5:6).
