PERSONAL ENCOUNTER WITH GOD (PART 3)

KEY TEXT: Job 42:5 KJV - “I have heard of thee by the hearing of the ear: but now mine eye seeth thee.”

A personal encounter with God produces undeniable benefits in the life of a believer. Job had known God through what others said, but when he encountered God personally, his understanding changed completely. An encounter opens your spiritual eyes, deepens your faith, and gives you a clearer revelation of who God truly is. It takes you from theory to reality, from information to transformation.

Beloved, one benefit of a divine encounter is the assurance of God’s presence. When Jacob wrestled with God, he was no longer the same man; fear gave way to confidence because he knew God was with him (Genesis 32:28–30). Another benefit is direction for destiny. Saul was wandering in ignorance until his encounter with Jesus; afterward, he became Apostle Paul, a vessel of great impact (Acts 9:15). A personal encounter also produces holiness and brokenness, as seen in Isaiah’s vision of the Lord that led him to cry out, “Woe is me!” (Isaiah 6:5).

Child of God, you cannot afford to live without a personal encounter with the Lord. It makes your faith unshakable, your prayer life vibrant, and your walk with God fruitful. Every believer who encountered God in the Scripture came out stronger, wiser, and more useful for the Kingdom. You too must desire such an experience that will set you apart for God’s glory.

REFLECTION:

Are you living from borrowed knowledge of God or from a personal revelation of Him? A personal encounter brings assurance, boldness, and holiness. Seek God today and let your life be transformed by His presence.

SINCERELY PRAY THESE PRAYERS:

1. Lord, grant me an encounter that will move me from hearing about You to truly knowing You, in Jesus Christ's mighty name. Amen (Job 42:5).

2. Father, let Your presence in my life drive away fear and fill me with boldness, in Jesus Christ's mighty name. Amen (Genesis 32:28–30).

3. O God, give me divine direction for my destiny through a personal encounter with You, in Jesus Christ's mighty name. Amen (Acts 9:15).

4. Lord, purify my heart and make me holy as You reveal Yourself to me, in Jesus Christ's mighty name. Amen (Isaiah 6:5).
