TITLE: NO UNREPENTANT SINNER''S NAME IN THE BOOK OF LIFE

KEY TEXT: Ecclesiastes 1:15 KJV: “That which is crooked cannot be made straight: and that which is wanting cannot be numbered.”

If you are a good reader of the Bible and know how to meditate on it, you will understand today’s title through the parable of the lost sheep given by our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, in the book of Luke 15:4-7. Jesus Christ asked which man would have a hundred sheep and lose one and would not leave the ninety-nine to look for the lost one till he finds it? Why should a man labour for one sheep when he has ninety-nine to care for? Because that lost one''s place is empty in the life of that shepherd. John 3:16

The lost sheep cannot be numbered with the rest. This is what is happening in this wicked and adulterous generation. Those whose names are not in the Book of Life are asking that they should be numbered amongst those who will enter God’s Kingdom through other ways. But how can the lost be numbered? Can one add his/her lost money to the amount in his/her wallet? I guess your answer is no. Is your place in Christ empty? Do something about it before it is too late. John 14:6, Revelation 3:20 

Is your name in the Book of Life? I am not asking you how long you have been born again in your sin and iniquity. There are millions of born-again souls in hell, whose names were not written in the Book of Life. There is a difference between the wanted and the found. It would be horrible if you died as a wanted person in the Book of Life. Tell Jesus, “Here I am. Have mercy on me and take me back,” if you backslid. Give your life to Jesus Christ if you are not born again. Your good deeds are nothing if you are not born again. John 3:3

PRAYER: O Lord, please rewrite my name in the Book of Life if it has been declared wanted due to my sin or carelessness, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.

REFLECTION: Revelation 20:15 KJV: “And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.”
