TITLE: THE UNGODLY GENERATION
KEY TEXT: 2 Timothy 3:12 KJV: “Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.”
We are living in a generation where almost every human is against the Creator. It is like a man who owns a company and employs workers. Unbelievably, the workers do not care about the work he put into establishing the company and only care about their selfish desires, doing whatever they feel like doing. They waste his resources and even gang up to overthrow him in his own company, which he built to help them. What irony! That is exactly what humanity is doing to God who created the world and all that is in it. Jeremiah 17:9
Would you also join the ungodly or make a difference? We are in a world where wickedness and iniquity are celebrated. Everyone is expected to be wicked and live opposite of the life the Creator has planned for His creation. To live godly in this rebellious and wicked world makes one to be hated, persecuted, humiliated, condemned, and even killed. The world has gotten to a point where one cannot find a godly person out of a thousand. It is written: “The best of them is as a brier: the most upright is sharper than a thorn hedge: the day of thy watchmen and thy visitation cometh; now shall be their perplexity” (Micah 7:4 KJV). Deuteronomy 30:19
There is hope for the godly. Beloved in Christ, it might seem as if everything has turned upside-down in the world. Maybe no one around you wants to live godly anymore. You have become an object of mockery in your environment, family, or church all because you decided to follow the Manual provided by the Creator, in true holiness and righteousness. Do not worry. Be strong and courageous. God Almighty is watching over you to see you through. James 1:12
PRAYER: O Lord, as humanity has turned its back on you, the Creator, please help me follow the Manual of Life you have provided for us, which a man should obey and live in, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.
REFLECTION: Leviticus 10:10 KJV: “And that ye may put difference between holy and unholy, and between unclean and clean.”
