LEAVE THE ROPE ON THE WINDOW (PART 2)

KEY TEXT: Hebrews 10:23 KJV – “Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)”

KEEP THE ROPE UNTOUCHED: Rahab did not only tie the scarlet rope on her window — she left it untouched until the promise was fulfilled. She did not alter or remove it, no matter how long it took for the Israelites to return. This shows the picture of a believer who holds firmly to faith and refuses to doubt God’s promises. True faith endures delay and resists discouragement. The rope on her window continually testified of her covenant and confidence in the word she received. ISAIAH 40:31

Many believers today start with great zeal but soon begin to “touch the rope” — they grow weary, compromise, and start questioning God’s faithfulness when things seem slow. Such actions can endanger their covenant covering. The instruction to Rahab was clear: “Bind this line of scarlet thread in the window.” It was not to be changed, removed, or replaced. Likewise, your faith, confession, and obedience must remain constant. ROMANS 8:18-25

Beloved, keep your rope untouched. Don’t allow fear, sin, or impatience to tamper with your covenant life. The God who promised will surely come through. Keep trusting, keep obeying, and keep waiting — your day of deliverance will come, and the faith you held onto will speak for you in due time. 1 CORINTHIANS 15:28

REFLECTION:

The rope on your window must remain untouched. Faith that endures till the end is the faith that saves. Never replace your covenant with the world — stay under the blood and wait on God.

PRAYER POINTS:

1. Heavenly Father, strengthen me to hold fast to my faith without wavering. Help me never to tamper with my covenant of salvation through doubt or compromise, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.

2. Lord Jesus, grant me the grace to remain steadfast in obedience and holiness until your covenant promise is fulfilled my life, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.

3. In the name of Jesus Christ, I receive the grace to keep trusting God until my chance come, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.
