LABOUR FOR THE HONOR FROM GOD (PART 2)

KEY TEXT: 1 Corinthians 15:58 KJV – “Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.”

LABOUR THAT PLEASES GOD: Every true laborer in the vineyard must work with the consciousness that God sees the heart. A man may deceive his leader or congregation, but not God who tries the reins of the heart. The labor that pleases God is one done in sincerity and faithfulness, not for recognition or self-glory. When your service is rooted in love for Christ, it carries eternal reward. The Lord will always honor those who labor for His name’s sake and not for selfish ambition. (Hebrews 6:10; Galatians 6:9)

GOD HONORS HUMBLE SERVICE: Humility is a major key in receiving honor from God. Those who exalt themselves in their service are quickly forgotten, but those who humble themselves in God’s vineyard are lifted in due time. Jesus washed the feet of His disciples to teach us that greatness in God’s Kingdom comes through humility in service. When you willingly serve in the low places, God will elevate you to the high places. (Matthew 23:12; James 4:10)

THE REWARD OF FAITHFUL LABOR

Those who labor faithfully, even when unnoticed by men, are gathering eternal treasures. God does not forget the secret sacrifices of His servants; every tear, every prayer, and every act of love will speak in due season. The crowns of glory are reserved for those who patiently continue in well-doing. Seek not the fleeting applause of men, but the everlasting commendation of God: “Well done, thou good and faithful servant.” (Matthew 25:21; Revelation 22:12)

PRAYER:

O Lord my God, teach me to labor in Your vineyard with humility and sincerity. Let my service be acceptable in Your sight, and may I receive the honor that comes from You alone, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.

REFLECTION:

Colossians 3:24 KJV – “Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.”

PRAYER POINTS:

1. My Father and my God, empower me to labor faithfully in Your vineyard without seeking human praise, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.

2. O Lord, help me to remain humble in service, that Your divine honor may rest upon me, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.

3. Lord Jesus, purge my motives from selfish desires; let my heart be consumed with passion to please You alone, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.

4. Father in Heaven, remember every hidden labor of my love and reward me in due time, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.

5. O God, keep me steadfast and unmovable in serving You until the day of Your appearing, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.
