KEEP GOD IN REMEMBRANCE
KEY TEXT: Revelation 2:4 KJV: “Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love.”

BRING GOD IN REMEMBRANCE
God is a God who is, was, and always will be. But it grieves Him when His children forget about Him and His goodness, chasing after the blessing and not the Blesser, the gift and not the Giver. God wants you and I to acknowledge Him just as you would a friend. He calls us to retain Him continually throughout our daily lives. Revelation 2:4
BUSYNESS OF LIFE
Life often gets busy, and it seeks to choke out the remembrance of God in one’s heart. When you realize this, you will notice that even Satan is actively seeking to distract and pull you out of the realm of communion with God. Make sure that the busyness of life does not interrupt your set appointment with God. God is a God who loves to spend time with us. Mark 4:19
EXAMPLES
While you are in the car on your way to work, remember Him. While you are cooking or doing household duties, remind yourself of His word. Even while catching your bus, incorporate the remembrance of God in your life, making your life interwoven with Him. When you do this, you will never feel the absence of God in your life. His presence comes to you and assures you that He is a God who rewards those who seek Him diligently. Proverbs 3:6
PRAYER:
Lord Jesus, teach me to chase the Giver not the gift, to be able to seek you first before anything in this world, in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
REFLECTION:
Deuteronomy 8:18 KJV: “But thou shalt remember the Lord thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.”
