JESUS CARES (PART 2)

KEY TEXT: Psalm 34:19 (KJV): “Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all.”

THE REALITY OF AFFLICTIONS: Jesus never promised a care-free world, but He promised divine care in a troubled world. The righteous are not exempt from afflictions, pressures, disappointments, or moments of heaviness. However, the comfort of the believer is this: affliction is not abandonment. The presence of trouble does not mean the absence of God. In every trial, Jesus is fully aware, deeply concerned, and actively involved in our deliverance. (Psalm 34:19)

JESUS CARES IN THE STORM: Often, when storms arise, the enemy tries to convince us that God is distant or silent. But Scripture assures us that Jesus is touched by the feelings of our infirmities. Even when He appears quiet, He is still in the boat. His care guarantees that the storm will not consume you. The same Jesus who calmed the sea still speaks peace into troubled lives today. (Hebrews 4:15; Mark 4:38–39)

RESTING IN HIS FAITHFUL CARE: The believer’s victory is not found in carrying burdens alone, but in resting in Christ’s faithfulness. When we truly understand that Jesus cares, anxiety loses its grip, fear weakens, and peace takes over. Trusting His care positions us to experience supernatural strength, timely help, and divine deliverance. Those who commit their way to Him will never be put to shame. (Psalm 37:5; Isaiah 41:10)

PRAYER:

Lord Jesus Christ, I thank You because You are mindful of me. Even in my afflictions, I choose to trust Your care. Let Your presence strengthen me, Your peace guard me, and Your deliverance speak for me, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.

REFLECTION:

Nahum 1:7 (KJV): “The LORD is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him.”
