INWARD AND OUTWARD HOLINESS IS DEMANDED TO ENTER THE KINGDOM OF GOD (PART 6)
KEY TEXT: Revelation 3:11 (KJV) – “Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.”

HOLINESS MUST BE MAINTAINED UNTIL THE END: Holiness is not only about how a believer starts but how he finishes. Many begin their walk with God passionately but grow careless over time. Scripture warns that crowns can be lost through compromise, weariness, and spiritual negligence. True believers are called to hold fast to righteousness and remain faithful until the end in order to inherit the promises of God (Hebrews 10:38–39; Matthew 24:13).
SPIRITUAL WATCHFULNESS PRESERVES HOLINESS:
A holy life requires vigilance. The enemy constantly seeks to deceive, distract, and defile. Without watchfulness, prayer, and discernment, even sincere believers can drift into compromise. Jesus repeatedly warned His followers to watch and pray, because spiritual sleep opens the door to temptation and spiritual downfall (Matthew 26:41; 1 Peter 5:8).
GRACE EMPOWERS BELIEVERS TO ENDURE IN HOLINESS:
God never demands holiness without supplying grace. The same grace that saves also sustains. Through the Word, prayer, fellowship, and the help of the Holy Spirit, believers are empowered to overcome sin and remain blameless. Those who rely on God’s grace will stand strong, finish well, and enter the Kingdom with joy (Titus 2:11–12; Jude 1:24).
PRAYER:
Faithful Father, I receive grace to remain steadfast in holiness until the end. Keep me watchful, prayerful, and dependent on Your Spirit. Preserve my life from compromise, and help me to finish my race faithfully, that I may receive my crown, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.
REFLECTION:
1 Corinthians 9:27 (KJV) – “But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.”
N.B: Endurance in holiness is proof of genuine faith.
PRAYER POINTS:
1. Father, give me grace to remain faithful and holy until the end of my Christian race, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen. (Matthew 24:13; Hebrews 10:38–39)
2. Lord, keep me spiritually alert and sensitive, that I may not fall into temptation or compromise, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen. (Matthew 26:41; 1 Peter 5:8)
3. Holy Spirit, strengthen me daily to overcome the flesh and walk in righteousness, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen. (Galatians 5:16; Romans 8:13)
4. O God, preserve my crown and grant me a victorious finish in Christ, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen. (Revelation 3:11; 2 Timothy 4:7–8)
