INWARD AND OUTWARD HOLINESS IS DEMANDED TO ENTER THE KINGDOM OF GOD (PART 5)

KEY TEXT: Romans 6:22 (KJV) – “But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.”

HOLINESS PRODUCES INTIMACY WITH GOD:

One of the greatest rewards of holiness is deeper intimacy with God. A holy life removes spiritual barriers and fosters unhindered fellowship with the Father. Those who walk in purity enjoy clarity in prayer, sensitivity to the Spirit, and confidence in God’s presence. Holiness draws the believer closer to God and opens the door to divine revelation and guidance (Psalm 24:3–4; James 4:8).

HOLINESS RELEASES SPIRITUAL AUTHORITY AND POWER: A holy life carries spiritual authority. When sin is resisted and righteousness is pursued, the believer walks in power over the flesh, the world, and the enemy. Holiness strengthens faith, sharpens discernment, and gives boldness before God and men. It is those who live separated unto God that experience His power working mightily through them (Acts 1:8; Luke 10:19).

HOLINESS GUARANTEES ETERNAL REWARD: Beyond present blessings, holiness prepares believers for eternal glory. God promises everlasting life, crowns of righteousness, and an incorruptible inheritance to those who endure in holiness. A holy life ensures a joyful entrance into the Kingdom of God, free from shame and regret. The reward of holiness is not only heaven but eternal fellowship with God forever (2 Timothy 4:8; Revelation 22:14).

PRAYER:

Father of glory, thank You for the grace to live free from sin and walk in holiness. Draw me closer to You, clothe me with spiritual authority, and keep me faithful until the end, that I may receive the eternal reward prepared for the righteous, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.

REFLECTION:

Hebrews 12:11 (KJV) –

“Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.”

N.B: Holiness may be costly, but its reward is eternal.

PRAYER POINTS:

1. Father, draw me into deeper intimacy with You as I walk in holiness, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen. (Psalm 24:3–4; James 4:8)

2. Lord, empower me to live above sin and walk in spiritual authority over every work of darkness, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen. (Romans 6:14; Luke 10:19)

3. Holy Spirit, strengthen me to endure in righteousness and holiness until the end, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen. (Matthew 24:13; Galatians 5:16)

4. O God, grant me a joyful and confident entrance into Your eternal Kingdom, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen. (2 Peter 1:10–11; Revelation 22:14)
