INWARD AND OUTWARD HOLINESS IS DEMANDED TO ENTER THE KINGDOM OF GOD (PART 4)

KEY TEXT: Romans 6:23 (KJV) – “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

REJECTING HOLINESS LEADS TO SPIRITUAL DEATH:

Sin is not harmless, and compromise is not minor. When holiness is rejected, spiritual life begins to decay. Persistent sin dulls spiritual sensitivity, weakens conviction, and eventually leads to separation from God. Spiritual death may not be immediate, but it is certain where sin is embraced and holiness is resisted (Isaiah 59:1–2; James 1:15).

COMPROMISE HARDENS THE HEART AGAINST GOD: Repeated disobedience hardens the heart and silences the voice of the Holy Spirit. What once convicted, no longer disturbs, and sin becomes normal. This is a dangerous spiritual state because a hardened heart resists repentance and despises correction. Without repentance, judgment becomes unavoidable, and the door of mercy gradually closes (Hebrews 3:12–13; Romans 2:5).

WITHOUT HOLINESS, ENTRANCE INTO THE KINGDOM IS DENIED:

Scripture is explicit that the Kingdom of God is reserved for the pure. No amount of religious activity can replace a holy life. Those who live in sin while professing Christ deceive themselves and face eternal exclusion from God’s presence. Holiness is therefore not optional—it is the evidence of true salvation and the requirement for eternal life (1 Corinthians 6:9–10; Revelation 21:27).

PRAYER:

Righteous Father, deliver me from every form of sin, compromise, and spiritual hardness. Keep my heart tender before You, and grant me grace to live in holiness so that I may inherit eternal life and enter Your Kingdom, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.

REFLECTION:

Galatians 6:8 (KJV) – “For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.”

N.B: What we choose daily determines where we spend eternity.

PRAYER POINTS:

1. Father, deliver me from every form of sin and compromise that leads to spiritual death, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen. (Romans 6:23; Isaiah 59:2)

2. Lord, keep my heart soft, sensitive, and responsive to the conviction of the Holy Spirit, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen. (Hebrews 3:12–13; Psalm 95:7–8)

3. Holy Spirit, expose and uproot every secret sin and hidden rebellion in my life, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen. (Psalm 19:12; John 16:8)

4. O God, establish me firmly in a lifestyle of holiness and righteousness that qualifies me for Your Kingdom, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen. (Hebrews 12:14; 1 Corinthians 6:11)
