FORGIVE AND LET GO
KEY TEXT: EPHESIANS 4:32 KJV: “And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.”

FORGIVE AND LET GO: Beloved, forgiveness is moving on instead of dwelling on that sin and refusing to harbor it against another. Forgiveness is essential in the life of a believer, and the key is that we forgive others as God has forgiven us. Why do we forgive? Because we have been forgiven. Forgiveness is the letting go of sin, forgiving everyone, every time, of everything, and letting go of any hurt anyone has caused. Ephesians 4:32
THE DANGER OF UNFORGIVENESS: Refusing to forgive demonstrates resentment, bitterness, and anger, which are not traits of a true child of God. Our relationship with God is damaged if we refuse to pardon others, and asking for God’s forgiveness while withholding forgiveness is hypocrisy. We must rebuke when necessary and forgive when there is repentance, because we cannot walk in true fellowship with God if we refuse to forgive. Luke 17:3–4
FORGIVENESS REFLECTS CHRIST: It is wrong for someone who has experienced God’s forgiveness to refuse to forgive others. Forgiveness is an eager readiness to extend mercy, and we are to be controlled by the Holy Spirit, not unforgiveness. When we forgive, we reflect Jesus, who forgave even on the cross, showing that no matter what has been done, we must continue to forgive. Luke 23:34
PRAYER:
O Lord, grant me the grace to let go of hurts others have caused me and to forgive all that people have done against me in Jesus Christ's mighty name. Amen.
REFLECTION:
COLOSSIANS 3:13 KJV: “Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.”
PRAYER POINTS:
1. O Lord, I receive the grace to forgive genuinely from my heart; every seed of bitterness, resentment, and hidden anger in me is uprooted today in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.
2. Father, heal every wound in my heart caused by past hurts; I release everyone who has offended me, and I walk in total freedom and peace in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.
3. Lord, help me to reflect Christ in my actions; give me a tender heart and the willingness to show mercy, just as You have forgiven me in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.
4. O God, deliver me from the bondage of unforgiveness; I refuse to allow anything to hinder my fellowship with You, and I step into divine peace and restoration in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen
