FAMILY ORDERLINESS (PART 5)

KEY TEXT: James 3:16 KJV – “For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.”

One of the greatest obstacles to family orderliness is strife and lack of communication. When pride, envy, or bitterness are allowed to grow, peace disappears, and confusion takes over. Many families today are in disorder, not because of external attacks, but because of internal disunity. The devil thrives in an atmosphere of misunderstanding. That is why believers must quickly confront offenses and settle them with humility and forgiveness before they destroy the foundation of their home. Colossians 3:12-13

Another hindrance is neglecting spiritual leadership. When a father fails to lead, or a mother refuses to submit, disorder becomes inevitable. God’s order cannot be maintained where roles are exchanged or disrespected. “Can two walk together, except they be agreed?” (Amos 3:3 KJV). Agreement does not mean uniformity, but harmony under divine principles. Every family that desires peace must submit to God’s structure and follow His Word diligently. Ephesians 4:32

Worldliness and carnality break the flow of God’s order in families. When worldly pleasures, entertainment, and materialism take precedence over righteousness, the Spirit of God withdraws. Families must guard their hearts against the infiltration of ungodly influences through media, company, and habits. A family rooted in holiness and spiritual discipline will not easily fall into disorder. The Word of God remains the antidote to every satanic attack against family peace. Luke 17:3

PRAYER POINTS:

1. My Father and my God, uproot every seed of strife, pride, and disunity from my family, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen

2. Lord Jesus Christ, restore divine order and spiritual leadership in every area of my home, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen

3. O God my Father, deliver my family from worldliness and keep us focused on Your will, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen

REFLECTION:

1 Peter 5:8 KJV – “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.”
