FAITH: THE CALL TO UNCOVER COVERED SIN (PART 3)
KEY TEXT: Proverbs 28:13 KJV: “He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.

DELAYING REPENTANCE IS DANGEROUS: Many people know the sin they should forsake but keep postponing repentance, believing they will deal with it later. The danger is that tomorrow is never guaranteed. Every moment God gives us is an opportunity to make things right with Him. A wise believer responds immediately when the Spirit of God brings conviction to the heart. Hebrews 3:15
SIN HARDENS THE HEART: When sin is repeatedly ignored or hidden, the heart gradually becomes hardened. What once troubled the conscience can begin to feel normal. This is why the enemy encourages people to hide their sins instead of dealing with them. But when we respond quickly to God’s correction, our hearts remain tender before Him. Ephesians 4:30
GOD’S MERCY RESTORES THE REPENTANT: No matter how far a person may have gone, the mercy of God is still available. When we sincerely confess and forsake our sins, the Lord forgives and restores us. His mercy lifts the burden of guilt and brings back the joy of salvation. A repentant heart always finds grace before God. Lamentations 3:22–23
PRAYER:
O Lord, give me the grace to repent without delay whenever I fall into sin, so that my heart will always remain tender before You in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.
REFLECTION:
Acts 17:30 KJV: “And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent.”
PRAYER POINTS:
1. O Lord, deliver me from the spirit of procrastination that delays repentance in my life in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.
2. Father, let my heart remain sensitive to the conviction of the Holy Spirit in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.
3. Lord Jesus, by Your mercy forgive every sin I have delayed to confess and cleanse me completely in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.
4. Father, restore the joy of my salvation and help me to walk daily in holiness before You in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.
