FAITH: THE CALL TO UNCOVER COVERED SIN (PART 2)
KEY TEXT: Proverbs 28:13 KJV: "He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy."

SIN PREVENTS SPIRITUAL PROGRESS:
One of the greatest enemies of spiritual growth is hidden sin. When sin is covered, it silently blocks the flow of God’s grace in a person’s life. Many people pray, fast, and seek breakthroughs, yet certain answers remain delayed because something hidden is standing between them and God. The moment sin is uncovered and forsaken, the heavens become open again. Isaiah 59:1–2
THE HOLY SPIRIT REVEALS WHAT IS HIDDEN: The Holy Spirit does not expose sin to condemn us but to save us. When He brings conviction to our hearts, it is an invitation to repentance. Ignoring that conviction hardens the heart, but responding to it brings restoration. When we allow the Holy Spirit to search our hearts, He helps us remove anything that can destroy our relationship with God. John 16:8
TRUE REPENTANCE RESTORES FELLOWSHIP:
Repentance is more than words; it is a genuine turning away from sin. When a person sincerely repents, God restores the broken fellowship between Himself and that soul. The Lord is always ready to forgive, but He expects a humble and sincere heart. No matter how deep the sin may be, true repentance opens the door to mercy. Acts 3:19
GOD HONOURS A BROKEN AND CONTRITE HEART: God does not reject the one who humbles himself before Him. A broken and repentant heart moves the mercy of God. Instead of hiding sin, bring it before the Lord with sincerity. When a soul genuinely cries out to God for mercy, heaven responds with forgiveness and restoration. Psalms 51:17
PRAYER:
O Lord, grant me a humble heart that will always respond to Your correction and lead me to genuine repentance so that my fellowship with You will never be broken, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.
REFLECTION:
Psalms 32:5 KJV: "I acknowledged my sin unto thee, and mine iniquity have I not hid. I said, I will confess my transgressions unto the LORD; and thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin."
