FRIDAY 08 NOVEMBER 2024 

TITLE: DEFEAT THE DEVIL AND TEMPTATION THROUGH JESUS CHRIST 

KEY TEXT: Matthew 4:1 KJV: “Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.” 

Understand that Satan is the greatest enemy of our souls. All he wants us to do is to disobey the commandment of God so that we will be in hellfire with him, because he is looking for as many people as he can to be a part of hellfire. He always wants us to disobey the God that created us. 1 Peter 5:8  

He wants children to disobey their parents, for humanity to treat one another contrary to what the Word of God commands, and he does not want us to embrace the truth of the Almighty God. The Bible describes Satan as the father of all lies. John 8:44 says, "Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.” He does not like anything truthful. Why? Because there is no truth in him. 1 John 1:6 

If you are not a child of God or are somebody that does not have the wisdom of God, you will think that whatever Satan tells you is the truth. The Bible said that when he speaks a lie, he speaks of his own, for he is a liar. If you are the type that tells lies on every occasion, know you are not a child of God. Everyone that enjoys telling lies is not a child of God. Jeremiah 50:36 

PRAYER: Lord Jesus Christ, deliver me from being a liar so that I will not enter hellfire, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.

REFLECTION: 1 John 2:4 KJV: “He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.”
