DEEPER WALK WITH GOD (PART 4)

KEY TEXT: MICAH 6:8 KJV: “He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?”

Make things possible: Living our lives with God in it gives us hope. We may not realize it, but walking with God is so much better than walking without Him. The Lord never said that our lives here on earth would be easy. We are going to go through hard times and have our struggles. But our time here on earth will be worth it. A deeper walk with God may not make things easy but it makes them possible. Walking with Him gives us assurance of His presence and power in our lives. Our God is powerful, and with Him, all things are possible. MARK 10:27, JOHN 15:5

Comfort and help: The Lord is always walking beside you. He is going through every situation with you. He loves and cares for you and will always stand by your side. A deeper walk with Him will give you the comfort of knowing that He is always there for you. He is always with you when you need someone to lean on and a shoulder to cry on; He is always there with open arms (Lev 26:12). No matter what you are going through, God will help you. You can always cry out to Him for help. When you are frustrated and confused, cry out to Him. When you are weak, discouraged, and feel like you cannot go on any longer, reach out to Him. He will always be there to pick you up and move you forward. HEBREWS 4:15-16, PSALM 23:4

Without Him, it is a struggle in the dark: When we are not walking with God, we are going to struggle in the dark; we are completely on our own. We would have to figure things out for ourselves, and it would be much more difficult than it would be. God is the light to our path. He will show us the way, but without Him, we have to find our way through the darkness. Why struggle when you can have God guide you? JOHN 8:12

PRAYER:

Heavenly Father, I desire a deeper walk with You. Help me seek Your presence, study Your Word, and obey Your voice. Help me walk with You, that I may experience more intimacy with You. In Jesus' name, Amen.

REFLECTION:

A deeper walk with God makes things possible. It brings comfort and help. Without Him, life remains a struggle in the dark. JAMES 4:10
