SUBMISSION TO GOVERNING AUTHORITIES:

The Bible instructs Christians to respect and obey governmental authorities, as they are established by God for order and justice. "Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God" ROMANS 13:1

THE EXAMPLE OF CHRIST IN SUBMISSION:

Jesus Christ demonstrated perfect submission by obeying the Father, even unto death. His humility is the ultimate example for believers. "And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross" (PHILIPPIANS 2:8).

SUBMISSION IN TIMES OF SUFFERING: Christians are encouraged to submit to God''s will during trials, trusting that His purposes will prevail. This submission brings spiritual maturity. "But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you" (1 PETER 5:10).

PRAYER: My Father and my God, grant me the grace to be obedient to the authorities that are promoting your agenda for your people. Give me the mind of Christ, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.

REFLECTION: 

John 14:21 KJV: "He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.
