The betrayal of trust can lead to profound emotional and spiritual wounds. Yet, God offers healing and restoration to those who have been betrayed, as He is near to the brokenhearted. "The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit" (PSALM 34:18).

Despite the prevalence of betrayal, the Bible reassures us that God's faithfulness is unchanging and dependable. He is the ultimate refuge for those who have been wronged. "It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not" (LAMENTATIONS 3:22).

King David experienced betrayal multiple times, even from close friends. Yet, he placed his trust in God to deliver him from betrayal and judge righteously. "Yea, mine own familiar friend, in whom I trusted, which did eat of my bread, hath lifted up his heel against me" (PSALM 41:9).

PRAYER: O Lord, my God, deliver me from betrayal and those who hate me without a cause, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.

REFLECTION: MATTHEW 24:10 KJV: “And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.”
