A WORLD OF NO PERMANENT RESIDENCY (PART 6)
KEY TEXT: Matthew 24:44 KJV: “Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.”

THE CALL TO LIVE READY: Living ready is not an occasional effort but a daily lifestyle. Since no one knows the exact time of death or the return of our Lord, every believer must remain spiritually alert at all times. Readiness involves maintaining a consistent walk with God, staying in obedience, and avoiding anything that can separate you from Him. A life of readiness removes fear and brings confidence in the face of eternity. Luke 12:40
AVOIDING SPIRITUAL NEGLIGENCE: Spiritual negligence is one of the greatest dangers in a believer’s life. When prayer becomes weak, the Word is neglected, and sin is tolerated, readiness is lost. Many start well but become distracted along the way, forgetting that eternity is at stake. A wise believer guards their spiritual life diligently, ensuring that their relationship with God remains strong and active. 1 Corinthians 10:12
PERSEVERING UNTIL THE END: It is not enough to begin the journey of faith—you must endure to the end. Challenges, temptations, and trials will come, but you must remain steadfast. Those who remain faithful will receive the reward of eternal life. God gives grace to those who hold on, refuse to give up, and continue walking in righteousness despite difficulties. Matthew 24:13
PRAYER:
O Lord, help me to remain spiritually alert, to avoid every form of negligence, and to persevere faithfully until the end in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.
REFLECTION:
