A WORLD OF NO PERMANENT RESIDENCY (PART 2)

KEY TEXT: Hebrews 9:27 KJV: “And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment.”

DEATH HAS NO RESPECT FOR PERSONS: Death is a universal appointment that no one can escape or postpone. It does not consider age, wealth, status, or position before it strikes. Many people assume they still have time, but the reality is that life can end unexpectedly. This is why every believer must live with a constant readiness, knowing that the call to eternity can come at any moment. Ecclesiastes 8:8

THE DANGER OF LIVING CARELESSLY: When people forget that this world is temporary, they begin to live carelessly, pursuing sin and neglecting their relationship with God. Such a lifestyle is dangerous because it blinds the heart to eternal consequences. The enemy thrives in keeping people distracted with worldly pleasures so they ignore their spiritual condition. A wise believer remains watchful and intentional, refusing to trade eternity for temporary satisfaction. Mark 8:36

LIVE READY—CHRIST IS COMING AGAIN:

The return of our Lord Jesus Christ is certain, and His coming will be sudden. Those who are prepared will rejoice, while those who are unprepared will face regret. Living ready means walking in obedience, holiness, and consistent fellowship with God. It is not enough to start well; you must continue faithfully until the end. Matthew 24:44

PRAYER:

O Lord, help me to live a life of readiness, free from carelessness and sin, so that I will not be ashamed at Your coming in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.

REFLECTION:

Matthew 24:44 KJV: “Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.”

PRAYER POINTS:

1. O Lord, deliver me from every spirit of carelessness concerning my eternity in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.

2. Father, help me to live each day in readiness for Your coming in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.

3. Lord Jesus, keep me from every distraction that draws me away from You in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.

4. Father, empower me to walk in holiness and obedience until the end in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.
