A WORLD OF NO PERMANENT RESIDENCY
KEY TEXT: Psalm 90:12 KJV: “So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.”

THIS WORLD IS TEMPORARY: This world is not our final home but a temporary place of assignment. Many people live as though they will remain here forever, investing all their energy in earthly pursuits while neglecting eternal realities. The truth is that everything we see will pass away, and only what is done for God will last. A wise believer lives with the consciousness that earth is a journey, not a destination. Hebrews 13:14
LEARN TO NUMBER YOUR DAYS: Numbering your days means living with a sense of urgency and purpose. It is understanding that time is limited and must not be wasted on things that do not matter eternally. When you live with this awareness, your priorities change—you begin to seek God more, live righteously, and value every moment as an opportunity to prepare for eternity. Those who ignore this truth often live carelessly, forgetting that tomorrow is not promised. Ecclesiastes 12:1
ETERNITY IS REAL—HEAVEN OR HELL: After life on earth, every soul will spend eternity either in heaven or in hell. Heaven is a place of everlasting joy for those who live for Christ, while hell is a place of torment for those who reject Him. Death has no respect for persons and can come at any time, making it dangerous to delay your decision for God. The life you live now determines where you will spend forever, so it is important to live ready at all times. Hebrews 9:27
PRAYER:
O Lord, help me to live each day with the consciousness of eternity, to number my days with wisdom, and to remain ready for Your coming, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.
